Just leaving now to catch the train down to Cornwall, weekend with friends and then the Du Maurier Festival on Monday (at 4, for anyone who feels like coming!). I am being interviewed by Helen Taylor from Exeter University – or ‘in discussion’ I think it is. Seems strange not to be clutching my prepared talk, but conversation is always fun, and it will be more interesting for me if I have to think on my feet. It is always the Q and A that I enjoy most. And Cornwall will be at its most ravishing. Will just have to avoid the cream teas.
